- State of Michigan Firefighter I and II certification
- State of Michigan Paramedic Certification
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (BLS and ACLS) Certifications
- Successful completion of Empco written examination (you must select Redford Township as amunicipality to receive your score) or Certificate for Conference of Western Wayne (CWW) Firefighter’s Testing Program Written and CPAT Certification.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- A “year of service” is defined as a minimum of 2,808 hours worked as a fire medic.
- 1 Year -$60,603
- 2 Years – $62,775
- 3 Years – $67,732
- 4 Years – $73,080
- Medical/Dental/Vision Coverage; 20% Employee Contribution
